One surprisingly close staccato lightning bolt hit early evening while observing storms clearing to the northeast from home at McLeans Ridges.

A line of storms passed through the Lismore area just after midnight on 12th October 2007. Unfortunately the CG action was a bit infrequent.

A weak thunderstorm encroached into the Northern Rivers region from the Northern Tablelands. It had been two weeks since any storms so decided to check the lightning out from Casino, NSW.

The Dunoon Tornado occurred earlier this date: 26th October 2007, but it was not the only storm of the day with a little lightning action viewed from home at McLeans Ridges.

Surprisingly lightning active storms greeted storm chasers on Sunday 28th October 2007 at Casino and then Kyogle. The photos looking over Kyogle were taken from the lookout in very trying conditions - light rain and CGs hitting WAY too close for comfort ! F22, 5 seconds 25mm focal length for those main two shots.

The Northern Rivers became quite cluttered with storms this afternoon. This shot was taken at McKees Hill southwest of Lismore. 1/80th F9.

Some weak storms managed to produce some lightning as they passed out to sea near Evans Head. The night shots were taken back home at McLeans Ridges.
